Young Eco Ambassadors Lead the Way at Eco Schools Extravaganza

Lay Ministers - a Source of Hope and Beacons of God’s Presence in Our Diocese

Lay Minsters from all over the diocese in their many roles and with their varied gifts, came together in worship, fellowship and shared learning, bringing their questions and offering support and encouragement to one another. Around 50 lay ministers gathered on Saturday 7 March at St Martins House in Leicester for a packed programme.

Church, community and school children came together in the Launde Minster Community to celebrate World Day of Prayer 2025 earlier this month. The church of St Michael and All Angels in Hallaton was packed to the rafters for a ‘joyful’ service.

Catalyst 30K: Free Training for Children and Youth Leaders

Draft Diocesan Strategy Presented to Leaders From Across Diocese

Following a discernment morning in January, members of Diocesan Synod, Diocesan Trustees, Bishop’s Children and Youth Council, Bishop’s Council, Area Deans, Lay Chairs and the Bishop’s Leadership Team met on Wednesday 19 June to review the draft diocesan strategy, in advance of it coming to Diocesan Synod in September.

Bringing People Together on the Way of the Cross

Four parishes have found a creative way of inviting members of their communities and children at their local schools to engage with the events of Holy Week by setting up a Way of the Cross across their churchyards with artwork by local children and audio reflections by their ministers.
