Open Air Service in Thurnby

20th September 2021

Quite a few of our churches across the Diocese of Leicester have been taking advantage of the last days of summer sun to hold services and gatherings outdoors in recent weeks. As a safer approach to getting together once again in bigger groups, the fresh air and clement weather has been quite the tonic for sharing the word of God with church congregations and the wider community. Over in Thurnby, St Luke's Church brought together more than 125 people in an open air Sunday service on Manor Park earlier this month.

13th September 2021

The last eighteen months haven't been easy for any of our churches. We've faced new challenges and learnt new skills, and now many of us are far more adept at Zoom or taking church online than we'd ever have thought we would be. Pamela's Everyday Witness

25th January 2021

Before lockdown Pamela used to love going to a nearby monastery. She would sit quietly, write prayers, listen to God and write down what she felt He was saying to her. However the pandemic put a stop to her visits, as well as her volunteering job in the NHS. These frustrations haven't stopped Pamela from sharing her faith with her friends.
