The Diocese of Leicester and Leicester Cathedral are currently taking part in the INEQE Safeguarding Audit, an important process that helps ensure our churches and communities are safe, welcoming, and supportive for all.
As part of this audit, surveys have been shared with our church, cathedral and wider communities, to gather valuable feedback about safeguarding practice and culture across the diocese.
We would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who has already taken the time to complete the relevant survey(s).
There are different surveys for:
- Diocesan workforce
- Parish workforce
- Parish community members
- Cathedral workforce
- Cathedral worshippers
- Children and young people (those under the age of 13 should do so with the help of a parent/guardian)
- Victims & Survivors of church related abuse
Your input is greatly appreciated. It provides an honest picture of how safeguarding is understood and experienced, and helps identify both strengths and areas for improvement.
If you have not yet completed the survey, we warmly encourage you to do so. Every voice matters, and having your say will help shape the future of safeguarding within our diocese and wider Church.
Please be reassured that all responses are completely confidential and anonymous. The surveys are managed independently by INEQE, and your feedback can be shared openly and safely.
You can find further information about the INEQE safeguarding audit, the surveys and how to support your church community to fill out the surveys on our audit webpage.
Thank you for helping support this important work.
